Could someone please take and post a picture of what, and where,
the seat belt module looks like? I can't find a picture in
the Bentley, and it doesn't seem to be on the car. I've gotten some advice
for chasing down my ignition problems, and need to trace the wiring from
the SBM... many thanks in advance!

Isn't it under the seat???

My Computer copy has page 86.55.00. says it's tape to the harness in a position above the bonnet release handle..I'd love to post the info from it I just don't know how to change it from a PDF to appropriate text.
Sorry

Howzit Kevin,
I meant to get back to this topic, but work has been getting in the way recently. I thought I had a picture but I couldn't find it, and I still need to open one of those accounts.

Anyway, the SBM is slightly bigger than a deck of cards. It's riveted to the left side of the passenger 'tunnel', just aft of the rear of the glovebox. It's hard to see from the front because it's behind the hose that goes to the passenger dash vent.

OK - I just went out and endured the sub-70 degree winter night to take some pix. I'll try to send them to you.

The SBM was required to meet the mandatory 1974 seat belt use campaign. I'm sure the official wording to keep people from messing with it would be something like "Warning - Do not unplug the SBM and use a 1/2" piece of solid copper wire to connect pins 11 and 12 together. Doing so will render the seatbelt-starter interlock completely inoperative."

Awesome, Jeff, this thing has been a thorn in my side since I got my car; now I can finaly see the object of my frustration! Many thanks!

DNK: When you have a PDF page open, click on the large "T" box above the page - then you can click and drag to highlight the text, then right click to select COPY as usual.
