It's been 3-4 years since I pulled it apart,
& not sure where I put the bolts to mount it to the
body.What size/thread are they?
And what size do the air outlets on the box use?

IIRC Doug the heater box is attached with sheet metal screws not bolts.

JP, they are bolted in place 7/16 fine thread same size as the bolts holding on the cover plate over the ps footwell. At least on a BE that’s what they are.

Jim, I assume you mean 7/16" across the flats which would have 1/4" threads (1/4-28 UNF = fine). 7/16 threads would be awful large.

Doug, You are correct, 7/16” nut 1/4 28 bolt. I just chased those threads 2 mi utes ago. 1/4 28 tap

I prefer to use socket head bolts on those. And use anti-seize.

You need a 1/4 x 28 bolt. I believe I used 3/4 inch long. The 1/4 inch bolt has a 7/16 head that’s where the confusion comes in.

I think the nuts are captured in the body of the car. All you need are the 1/4 -28 bolts and a washer. I think 3/4 long is what I used on the 76 midget. Haven't tackled the 74 yet.
