Replacing all of the engine and transmission mounts, the center lower transmission mount bracket had to be straightened to install the new center lower transmission mount. The old one was pinched into the mounting bracket from the factory. Was having trouble replicating it by bending over the mounting bracket. It seems to fit fairly tight into a rectangular mounting space. Every time I tried to bend it started to pop out of the mounting bracket.
Has any one had this problem before?

Ended up installing the transmission with the lower center transmission mount pushed into the rectangular bracket. It fit snug but gave up trying to squeeze it any tighter. Not sure if that is a fix but that's what I did. Talked with Bob Forsblom, who rebuilds MG transmissions and lives in Columbus Ohio. He said that some people don't even install that lower center transmission mount, just leave it off.
