Speedo is not registering now. Have owned this one for 37 years and this just started recently. Have changed the cable, bounced for a little bit then died. How easy is it to change out the Speedo gear! Thanks,

If you are talking about the right angle at the trans. not bad from under the car. It may be your problem there is a small piece that goes into the trans at the right angle that can brake. If you just slid a new cable in the old case and did not find anything wrong with the cable that angle would be likely the problem. If it is the gear assy in the trans it is all in the right angle assy and a new one is needed. Madflyer

Madflyer, thanks for your reply! My cable goes straight into the tranny through a single collar, not a right angle. I have looked up and seen the gear, but was looking for input to the ease or difficulty of installing it? I will most likely purchase the gear and housing and take on the task of attempting the install.

thanks again!
