Hey all,
Will 72 spoke wheels fit on my 59 BN6 ? I think the spokes
will rub the brake drums if I recall from one time using 60
spoke wheels on a BN4 but not sure about 72 spoke fitting.
Thanks,
Mike

Sixty (60) spokes rubbed my front (only) brake drums, but seventy-two (72) spokes did not. I used seventy-twos (72s) from BOTH a TR-6 and an AC Cobra at different times.

The chrome center-laced Cobra wheels (15 x 6) were GORGEOUS!

As fitted to BN6L-942.

Mike;
You're right, the 60's do rub. I have broken spokes on my BN6 taking corners hard, the 72's will work. There is a great article on the moss web site on this subject.
I just purchased a set of heavy duty 60 spoke wheels with an off set from Dayton because I was looking for 60's on my car. The price was not bad, either.

Randy;
Do you by chance have a photo of the cobra wheels??

Only these, taken during the execution of a hanbrake turn (reference pylon by fender and course worker)

I have 73s on my BN4. They fit and no rubbing. I think with the 72 version, it is almost like having a solid steel rim. I have them on 3 cars now and have never broken a spoke. The 60s that cam with my 67 BJ8 all had broken spokes.
