Anybody remember what a 72 cost new? I've racked my slowly depleting brain and can't remember. Here and abroad.

The wife and I bought a Toyota Celica, our first new car, in '73. List price on it was around $3400, and I remember the MGB costing nearly the same.

I wanted a 240Z, but it was around $4800 - couldn't afford it!

Somewhere I have a B/L dealer price list for the 73 model year, including all of the available options. Darned if I can find it though.

$3359 for a '72 according to mgexperience library.
Thanks guys!
Sounds like a lot for a new 72 MGB. In 1960 I almost bought a new Healey for around $3,000. Of course, were talking 12 years later, so I guess it's close.

And what would that same 1972 MGB cost in today's dollars?

Purely a guess....but I'm saying $22k.

Anyone know of an inflation conversion table?
