Stag 71 Triumph Stag

Ran across a 71 Stag in the Seattle area that the owner wants to get rid of. Fairly good body, but probably needs a new engine. Hasn't run in many years but has been garaged.

Details / pictures / contact info?

I head Randall is looking for another project? (I have no idea if he is but come on now it is a Staaaaag)

Nope, not me!

If I ever buy another Triumph, it will be a TR8 or maybe a Southern Cross. But no more Stags, and nothing any time soon!

I've learned the hard way that having two Stag does NOT increase the chances that one will be running at any given moment.

Don,
No it is here in Seattle. He just had a mechanic tell him that it needed a new engine and he doesn't want to put the money into it. Will probably sell it fairly inexpensive. If you want to see it, PM me and I will arrange something with him.

If I do that I'll need a very good divorce attorney.

Hmmm, how easy is it to fit an LS2 in it?

Your help I don't need, Tom
I almost bought a Stag before the 8. Was seriously looking in the area.

My daughter thinks they are ugly, course, she thinks the 8 is ugly too.

All the more reason to buy one Don. What, may as I ask, is our purpose on earth as Dads if not to mortify our kids?

The Stag is doubly good on that front since you could bring her and a friend or two to school in it!

So, clearly, you'll need to dig deeper to find a reason not to buy it....
