Aloha All, I have a chance to purchase a Lotus Elan
s4 1971. Engine is out to replace a water pump. All running gear is in great shape. My question what is it worth?? I'm a TR man but would be interested in this one. Mahalo, Tom
 
"Classic Motorsports" magazine did a buyer's guide for Elans in this months issue (Sept 03). The range on an intact '71 Elan (depending on lots of variables) is $6500 to $18000 (USD). I'd recommend you pick up the magazine...the article is decent.
