Nothing Tony. Just the two lower bolt fittings that are on all cars. I see Moss sells the the belts for the car, but I am courious as to how the shoulder belt attaches.

Hmmmmm. I would think that you should have the two odd looking bolts protruding from the rear deck. The '70 parts car I just crushed had them. My '69 car has them too. Tony, were shoulder belts an option in '70? I would think that they were standard equipment. Paul, perhaps the bolt holes have been filled by a DPO?

They say one of the secrets of keeping young is to keep your brain active. Ha, everyone should restore at least one MG in his or her lifetime. They will either stay young or go crazy. Maybe both! I'll look again, as it was dark when I looked last night.PJ
The fittings were hidden under the top as it's in pretty bad shape and lays down over the fittings. As Tony said, the fittings are on top of the deck, just in front of the most rearward lift a dot. Now the question is, is the belt connected with a special fitting so you can release it to put the top down? They look like they have some type of attachment that the chrome bolt goes through. Is this for hooking the shoulder belt to? Are the 3 way belts from Moss designed to fit these attachments?

I did a bit of research.....the '70 model was when they made several changes to the seat belts...however, I think they were all static - & didn't have sdhoulder belts, only seat belts...the locations where they mounted to the body changed several times during the '70 year...
...and retractable Kangols didn't come into play until late the '71 year
...&, the '71 year was when the seatbelts were reposituioned to the tonneau panel also....but htey weren't retractable

Tony, I found the attachments for the shoulder belts. I think. They are on the deck where you initially said. There are two chrome bolts atop a thick chrome washer with some type of swivel clip, which I assume is for attaching the shoulder belt. Thier just in front of the most rearward "Lift A Dot" that secures the top. Are the Moss 3 way belts designed to mount to these clips? How do you put the top down with the belts hooked up? YEP, those are the mounting points.....I don't think the Moss belts will slip over the fittings....there was a unique chrome end to them that hooked on the fitting and, as you pulled forward, wouldn't jump off
Oh, your boot & tonneau should have holes in them so the seatblets fit when either is used.

No...the Moss three point belts now available will NOT work on the mounts on the rear deck...I ordered in a set only to be disappointed. (They were accepted for return with no questions.)
I had a 1970 Nova that had separate should belts (stored with a clip along the headliner)and separate lap belts front and rear.

Thanks Rick. You have answered a couple of my questions. I thought that these bolts were for mounting a hard top. Learn something new every day. I wonder if any of the original belts have survived over the years? I could possibly have the fittings rechromed and sewn into new webbing. Tony??? PJ

Yes...the belts are still out there....the ends could indeed be rechromed ($$$) and the webbing replaced (ie - Ssnake-Oyl in Texas). Sometimes the plastic handles on the latch are broken (ie - one of mine in the '68) howeer, that does not interfere with operation.
They are getting hard to find.
The factory hardtop (and most aftermarket hardtops) use the same use the same rear clips as the softtop.

There are a couple of places out there that sell a generic 3 point (non-recoiling) belt if you do a search I'm sure you'd find one that will work or I used Moss's number 222-205, they're priced each. Take the belt and the old shoulder part to a friendly upholsterer(?)and he can attach. Be sure that you test fit and measure before to get the length correct.
