This is a great all British car show. It takes place on the grass of the Channel Islands Harbor in Ventura California. It is a very family oriented show with lots of stuff for everybody. Plus the price of the show is good - free! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

Re: 7/24/05 Central Coast British Show - Ventura,

I'll be there! The show has moved this year to Oxnard, and one of the advantages of the move is that there is no longer a limit on the amount of cars allowed to enter. Plus they have added a swap meet!

What is this? An Aston Martin?

Italian-bodied Triumph. The theme of the show was "Italian-bodied British Cars". They had their own section which included a '54 Nash coupe and two MG Arnolts.

Do you know anything else about it, is the body maker Innocenti? Is it a TR? under there?

I took a similar photo and blew up the area with the tag on the windshield. Even after enhancing the plackard in Photoshop I still can't read it other than the year, which I think is 1963. Here's what I have...

Excerpt from the VTR website:
So what exactly is the Italia?

The Italia 2000 GT (to call it by its full name) was produced over the period 1959 to 1963. Produced is a relative term when it comes to Italias, since something less than 300 were ever made. "Serious" marketing efforts in the U.S. included each original owner having to sign a contract that included among its clauses the fact that no body panels or trim pieces were available as spares! Couple that fact with the $5000 list price, which was perilously close to that of an E-type Jag or fuelie Corvette, and you can imagine that the average U.S. sports car buyer didn't exactly beat down the doors to purchase one. Some cars sat on dealer's lots for over two years before being discounted and eventually purchased.
