This drove into my shop yesterday...a local body shop is pals with the owner, has been there over two years. I won't even tell you how much has been spent on this car...I about fell over when I was told) Anyhow, apparently the brand new wiring harness has a short..or the new lite switch does as every time the car is started, the lites turned on...the signal lite switch goes up in smoke. Today the troubleshooting starts....heres a couple of pics....

Awww....the poor car has COPD....it needs a ventilator!!!

Looks like a 69 to me (3 wipers). Must have had the side reflectors removed.

Success!!!!! After checking everything on the electrical system...and hooking up a disconnected grn/white wire on the rt. fenderwell, with the key off the rt. sinal lite(front and rear) happily blinked away?? Fiured it has to start in the emer. flasher switch. Sure enough...it was toasted to the point of melted. Called Mike at the body shop and asked him when the trouble started. Apparently a local stereo shop had installed a new c/d system and they pulled back the new carpeting and console....Bingo. They apparently miswired the flasher switch..and that took out the stalk switch and then the headlite switch turned into a gooey mess. I had no new one in stock so pulled all three off a 68 BGT parts car....works like a champ. All new stuff on the way from Moss where all the melted new stuff came from. I've been asked to put a few miles on it when its all back together, I'll force myself to do that:smile:

I'm paranoid that my dog will lift his leg or scratch it...so while the parts are in transit its been moved into the paint booth...owner has given the okay for me to drive it and put miles on it to insure its good to go...OOOHHHH...OKAY!!!

Parts should be here today..Tuesday. Also realized somehting, this thing dosen't have overdrive?? What a shame.
