TR6 69 TR6 seats in a 64 TR4?

Can 1969 TR6 seats be put into a 1964 TR4? If so any suggestions.

I believe I have seen this done.

The floor pans for the TR4 4A,250, and 6 are identical (except the 4 pan has four rear mounting holes) which means the 6 seats should bolt right in.

If you have a good set, try them out - as noted they should be bolt in. I've thought about that modification myself because of the fold down headrests.

Just happens I have a set of 1964 TR4 seats w/rails and a set of 1976 TR6 seats w/rails sitting out. I just measured them and the hole locations are identical. Since the 1969 is in the middle I would assume it is the same.

Thank you all. You eased my mind greatly, since I bought them from a friend today. I need to put new diaphrams in them other wise they are in great shape. Does anyone know how to and which way to fold them. And are the backs able to adjust? Thanks again to you all, I hope I can help some one too. I have owned and loved TR's all my driving life. What is it about them. when I was a boy I used to visit the Speke plant often.
