MGB 69 MGB fuses

Hi to the MG forum.

I am actually sneaking over here from a different forum but have an MG question.
I recently helped a friend rewire a 69 MGB. The complete harness was replaced and when we were done we had only one issue. There are 2 in line fuses mounted in the engine compartment below the fuse box. I believe that one was for the brake circuit but we do not know what the second one is for. I can find no reference in his Haynes manual and do not recall if anything was connected to it in the first place although you would assume so. Everything seems to work OK. Can anyone shed light on this mystery? I'd appreciate any help.

I don't know if anything is supposed to be plugged in there but I know on my '69 there is nothing plugged in.

Hazard flashers?

Does not appear to be Hazard circuit, thing is it does not appear to be affecting anything but was hoping someone could stick thier head under thier hood and let me know.

The color wires are red and there are 2 fuses. They are in line style fuses that are attached the inner fender on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

Red is hot.

Mystery solved! Thanks for the lead Kimberly, the schematics for the 68-69 MGB showed that the 2 in-line fuses were for the front and rear side lights. This model has a two way fuse block and the 2 in-line fuses, later models had a 4 way fuse block.

Red is usually lighting. In MGB's anyway.
