67k Miles on the Michelins

My OEM Michelin Total Performance tires on my Telluride are rated for 60k miles. I have 67k on them and still have a tiny bit of tread left before reaching the wear bars. I've always been a fan of Michelin and. based on lots of reviews and recommendations from other forums, I just ordered a set of Michelin CrossClimate2 tires to be installed next week.

We don't get a huge amount of snow where I live in Central NM, but when we do get it, we get it good and it can become quite treacherous in places. We also have more than our fair share of hard rain during monsoon season which can really make the road surfaces dicey. Costco Had them on sale for $150 off for set of four, but I called Discount Tire and got them to beat the installed price by $50.

I've had good times with Michelin. I use Bridgstone A/T on my old Rover and keep the same brand Continental A/T on my LR4. Get decent mileage for the vehicle weight and zure grip when needed. I had a 07 150. Supercrew and got 60+ on the original Cooper A/Ts, but truck was later ghter than Rovers. Basically, if you go into winter with new tires, you can be safe. Now my88 Classic Range had Michelins and I could run almost 75K miles before renewing.

My current OEMs have 67k on them and I could probably squeak 70k out of them, but 75k would me pushing it.

On the other end of the spectrum I've used their Pilot sport 4 summer only tires on a Porsche and they are the best/stickiest tires I've ever used. They also retain air better than any tire I've owned.

I have CC2’s on my winter wheels and my wife’s Ascent (similar in specs to your Telluride) just got them about 2 months ago after wearing out the OEM tires. They are really nice tires; quiet, good wet/dry traction, not bad in the snow at all, and long wearing. I like ours obviously and would buy again but then when I find a brand I like I tend to stick with them…
Enjoy!

I have always had to replace tires before the age time. Used to drive 100 mile round trip to work, now I get a month before I need fuel and tires are aging before any mileage. Have a set in the garage, I had on my track MINI for 2K miles and looks like they will age out befkre i use them again.

I agree. I have them on my Speed3. I also used Michelin Pilot Power 2 CTs on my sport bike. Complete grip leaning over to the edge of the tread. That's what motivated me to get the Pilot sports for my car.

Huge fan of Michelins - except on our MB R350. Had two sets or Premier LTX, both lousy in the rain. Replaced a few years ago with a set of Continental ExtremeContact, and could not be happier.

Every other car I’m super happy with my Michelins. Dunno why the MB??

Had to get a pair of Michelins replaced on the Mini - just very very noisy - but generally quite happy. Did ask the mechanic about a warranty and he burst out laughing. Apparantly tire mileage warranties are a covid casualty for all brands. :rolleyes2:

Tire Rack did have full coverage for the M's I bought... Pilots... road hazard etc. I got a good nail in one and they replaced it at full cost.
