Picked up the barn baby today, a little rain and alot of wind. Just starting to put together my list. Posted a couple of pics in the gallery and have others once I figure out this Web stuff  I'm sure I'll need plenty of advice once my pulse levels out a little!

It looks great! But then it looks a lot like mine. Don't sit in it all night, or then again maybe do...

That's going to be a nice car when it's done.

Black and red is a great combination. The only one I like more than my combo, red and black. But hey, sometimes you don't have a choice with these old cars.

Be sure to check the typicals! Frame, differential mounts, etc.

Bonnet is stuck so I can't get engine pics yet. I'll post more pics to the gallery since I don't have a Web page anywhere.

Good luck JD. Hope you can get the bonnet unstuck - If the cable is busted it could be quite a challenge getting it open. First thing I did when I got mine was install a backup release cable. Original is a bit frayed but hasn't broken yet.

I have family in Buffalo Grove - great neighborhood.

Post more pics soon!

If the cable release is working, but the bonnet is just stuck due to a mis-aligned mechanism, you might get it open by holding the cable open and driving around hitting pot holes. That should flex things around enough to get it to pop open.

Pretty car! Best of luck with the hood release.... That could be a little tricky.
Photobucket is a good photo-posting site, FYI...

Excellent -- Looks very original & complete. I thought mine was like that but my wife got out the Moss, TRF & Vicky Brit catalogs and started listing everything she wanted.

Let us know if the bonnet continues to be a problem.

Thanks, I'm really happy with the color (colour?) too, don't know about the dash, the guy I bought her from only drove it a few weeks after he got it when his dad passed away, then put it in storage when he moved to Elkhart Lake from our neighborhood. He's planning on moving to florida and wanted to get a golf cart, so once he found out from his son who grew up with mine, that i "might be" interested, we struck a deal over the last year! She's sitting at a local repair shop now because I'm trying to get my driveway and garage floor repoured, so it's a slow torture. Just extended my storage of the '59 through the eoy, so for now there's room! Hope to get her home soon and get busy.
