MGB 67 MGB roadster project in Idaho

I called the guy (Jack) and found out this 67 is ready for someone to buy and assemble.
Right now it's a chassis that's taken apart, metal work done, primed, ready for assembly.

It comes with all the parts to finish it, a professionally rebuilt motor, I am pretty sure he said it's an OD transmission, all the suspension parts - some specially redone. He wants $4000 US.
Comes with many extra parts as well, he's getting rid of all his MG stuff.

Here's the link to his ad:

FOR SALE: my unassembled 1967 MGB project car, with many extras. The engine short block is newly rebuilt, as is the cylinder head. The transmission is also newly rebuilt. The body shell is complete with the original aluminum hood. There are MANY new parts that go with this car. Many parts have been professionally powder coated. There is also a spare, used engine (the original), etc. Some of the new parts are performance items.

Please call Jack at 509-952-3128 for additional information. [/QUOTE]

The car is located in Idaho - just east of Spokane WA.

Oh, he also has bought the BRG paint to paint it with.

Didn't he at least give you some photos? I can't believe how people try to sell multi-thousand dollar items on craigslist without putting photos in.

For a disassembled vehicle I'd worry the most that many of the little bits (fasteners, tubing, hoses, etc, etc, etc) might be missing. Does he have everything organized and placed in labelled containers? Does he have photos of the disassembly to show you how things go back together? (though you can probably get a lot of that from folks here).

I know what you mean, I watch pretty much constantly and sometimes you get a guy like this:
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/car/567100592.html

He tells you the bad news up front and gives some candid photos.

Then other times you get someone selling a hunk of junk with one little photo from the best angle possible and asking 3 to 4 times what it is really worth.

Then you get people with the ad you are talking about & very little real info and they wont even send you a picture.

It's crazy out there!
