MGB 65 Midget & MGB question

Hey guys,
I'm a first-timer on here, def looking for some expert advice. I am looking at purchasing 2 MG's from a fellow. Both 65's one a Midget and the other an MGB. The midget is missing a gear in the tranny and other than that is a little beat but everything is there. The MGB is has a real rusty body but all the parts are there and the engine and tranny are good. Here's the question, Is it unreasonable for me to think i could take the transmission off of the MGB and put it on the Midget? Or do an engine swap? I have tried to find specs for both cars but couldnt.

Two totally different cars...mechanicals won't swap...there are some minor parts & pieces you can use on either but the big stuff won't switch...call 1-800-667-7872 (Moss Motors) & ask them to send you both an MGB & a Midget catalog.
