.....line routing

How does it go?

I know which hole it goes through the firewall (the same one as the capillary line)....but I don't know how it gets there from the engine.

Photos?

Here you go Tony, it runs under the heater fan. The black tube is the Oil pressure gauge line. I think it was held in place above the heater to a clip on one of the plate screws.

Hmmmmmm....thanks, Mark....my line has a couple of loops in it under the dash near where it goes into the guage - does yours?

I can't tell from the photo - but is that line supported anywhere except that one place where its held in the same clip as the temp line? I mean, is it held anywhere near where the flex line switches to hard line?

Tony,

It was not held anywhere else as it was a stiff lie with the rubber hose part acting as a cushion between the frame and the motor. As mentioned the metal line part of it was attached to a clip which was attached to a bolt on the cover plate. I looked through all my tear down picks and I do not see a loop. Mine came straight out from the back of the gauge through the fire wall.

Silly question, where can that hose be procured for the oil pressure guage.

Would an autoparts store have one that would work?

Moss has it, Jack. I'm ordering one tomorrow.

Get two Tony.

Tony,
Please let us all know if that is the correct part. I did not think it was available as it has a very small inside diameter.

I will, Mark.
