The 62 passed the 160000 mile mark this past summer. When we went to British Columbia and through some of the mountains I realized just how tired it was.I was wishing we had taken the Lister with all the reserve power.
Well we are going the V8 route with the 62 ala tiger plus the T5 tranny. There will be a nice nice 302 which should deliver 270HP to the rear wheels. This is what the speed shop figures.
Now I must sell the 390 CFM holley with electric choke.Carb was just rebuilt by Holmes.Mallory dual breaker distributor with mechanical advance complete with performance wires.Offenhauser manifold for the 2.6.Finned aluminum valve covers with the FORD V6 raised letters.any other parts that are common to both the 2.6/2.8.or just 2.6 parts.
Email for price or what you may need.

Ahh! Another "Al-ger" in the world.
Good luck, Chuck! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

By the way, it's snowing here and my Canadian secretary says that this is a *good* thing...I think you guys all have anti-freeze instead of blood!

You may call it antifreeze. We call it good old fashion booze.I do like the southern comfort.Strictly medicinal of course. We do spend many cool (-25 F) evenings in front of the fireplace on the bearskin rug.OOPS!! I just let slip why its always sunny.

It should be a fun car as it already has the 8 inch ford rear end.I hope to keep the mustang front end but there might be a problem with the steering shaft. Will have to work on this when it is all being fitted.I think a fancy motor mount bracket will be the answer.

Did you ever expect to have things done by such and such a date? When i started this conversion I thought I would be finished as the time element was looking good.Surprising how our plans can change.Still have about 4 more hours and the firewall and tunnel will be complete. The motor and tranny have been fitted and mounts are done.Still a few technical things do figure. As long as it stays cold and I can proscinate on some things I can work on the car.
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gifand itsa suuny day again
