my windshield has a number of wiper scratches in it and after trying to polish them out for a day, i gave up. they don't seem that deep but i guess i do not have the equipment to get the job done. So i took my glass over to the local auto glass shop and asked the guy if he could get me the glass. it needs new seals and all so i just wanted to get the glass. his book listed glass for a 63-67 Mark II but nothing for a 62.
my question is: is that the same glass. my VIN number is 16183 so is it possible it uses the same glass as the 63? which i believe would be a BJ7 model. as you can see in the pic attached it is not flat glass. IMG_0255.jpg

Thanks

I think it is the same glass, someone smarter will confirm. I tried polishing scratches out also, a waste of time.

Glass for a 63-67 Healey will definitely not fit a BT7. As for polishing, it will work but takes a long time with the right equipment. I used an Eastwood kit and was happy with the result. The wiper tracks that were noticeable are now very faint. Having the windshield out of the car so you can work on a horizontal surface helps. It does make a mess, as you use plenty of water.

thanks. i knew Moss had them. but since i was not going Tri-plex, figured i would look local. freight has to be high on these things. but guess i will need to get one shipped from somewhere.

Again, if you are going to have it shipped, give these folks a call. Their prices were much better than the usual suspects: https://www.prosourceglassintl.com/index.html
