'61 'Vette value

I have an opportunity to pick up a '61 Corvette from my brother's father in law for $5000. Frame has rust issues - assume it needs to be replaced, minor damage to the RF, comes with a factory hard top. Car is complete and runs but has sat inside a garage for 10 years.

What is it worth?

I'm going to look at it since I haven't seen it in a few years and I never looked at it from the standpoint of buying it. Any suggestions or online resources appreciated.

Buy it. Decent early vettes appriciate about 10 percent a year. Does it have the original engine? Any interesting uptions like fuel injection, metallic brakes, 2 four barrels? Anything like that adds to the value, sometimes exponentially. I know that there are "repro" frames available, but all I am sure of is that they are made for modern running gear. I would imagine that correct ones are also. Bodywork is available, but fibreglass refinishing is expensive. Still, for the price, I think it is a good deal.
