'61 flat floor roadster

I was at a friends shop today, and they had just received a '61 E Type roadster for a complete resto. The car was bought new in the UK, and raced here for several years. It was put back to street configuration, and now needs to be completely re-done, as it's a bit tired.
I'll try to get some pictures of the restoration if I can.

What is the car #? Flat floors were actually made just into 1962. For a 1961, I'm guessing itwill be an 875XXX, and will probably be between 875500 and 876500. The number should be on the data plate just inside the right fender below the brake and clutch reserviors on a RHD. My car is #876753, making it the 1753rd one made, and it has the heel wells in the floor. I know mine was made on Feb. 19, 1962, and I think it is made about 150 after the last Flat floor was made, based on some of the resource books I have. So I'd be curious just how early this one actually was. (Doesn't have outside bonnet locks, does it? That would be one of the first 500, and THAT is a true early car!
 
Steve, I don't know the number, but I'll check it next week. The original owner bought it new in the UK in '61.
It has the welded bonnet, but I don't remember seeing external locks.
It's definitely a flat floor. The guy that owns it now is only the second owner.
It's a left hand driver, though.

There's a flat floor conv. that recently came to my boss's shop for a restoration. It's been under restoration for the last 20 years at various shops and it's still only a rolling chassis with all the panels welded and leaded in and a whole lot of boxes of parts. It's supposed to be the first one off the line in 1962, but i've not seen any documents. It's too bad, it was originally dark blue metallic, but he's painting it red so he can sell it easily when done.
