My hat's off to you guys!We had our 31st this year.
Had our anniversary dinner at Seneca Lodge at Watkins -
Glen.
On our 25th I just happened to plan our stay at a
town (Dunsmuir,CA.) that had a British Car show (What-
the odds of that happening?).
On our 30th,I planned out a week long anniversay
trip.We stayed at Oregon Caves,& went up the Oregon -
Coast. We got to stay at Haceta Head Lighthouse B&B,in
a room that had a view of the lighthouse.

Don,the Lodge at Oregon Caves is much warmer - but
no tv,radio,or internet.

Wow. We're tappin' on those numbers quickly as well. 59/31 actually.

Wellllll.... ~I'm~ inchin' to 60, Horsemits is a youngin' at five years my junior.

I'm her painting in th' attic.

Congrats, Dave. "What a Long, Strange Trip it's Been...."

Ah, so sorry.
I didn't attend to these messages last night.....

Food was good.
They screwed up the Old Fashioned first time.
In 40 years, I think I've had them delivered....three times with soda vs water, and......yuck.

Buy, they fixed it.

We also fit in the annual "Viewing of the Christmas Lights" drive......all over town, up hill and down, then, was a bit busy when we got home, so didn't spend much time answering e-mails and threads.

Even after 40 years?....

O.K, I wasn't gonna say anything about this, so, to keep TOC from havin' to share "priv'lged" information, I'll tell you what my buddy told me yesterday.

He went to see his 85 year old landlord. It took ol' boy a while to get to the door. Once he opened it, he proptly apologized for taking so long. My buddy stated the gentlmen said "he was gettin' him some", and even did the hand/arm pump gesture.

Now...as if this wasn't disturbing enough. My buddy is friends with his grandson...SO...he calls said grandson and says, "Hey, I just went to your grandparents and....".

He figured if gramps is gonna subject him to that, he might as well pass it along.

I think both parties are in therapy as we speak.

So...the moral of this story is...there is still hope for us all.....

...and..if they been married 40 years...it aint 'cause they don't get along.

So...+1 for good marriages !!!! (let's change the subject PLEASE !!!)

I say good for gramps..but that just too much information for my tastes.

"hope springs eternal" for all us old married types, my friend.

<span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">Hope springs eternal</span></span>.
