6 Kick panel carpet backer? No sill plates!

When I bought the green car it had new carpet in it. It's just kinda shoved in. On the kick panel area I don't have anything to glue it to other than the car and it's not solid there. What and how is the carpet supposed to go in there?

In my TR6 there was a single button snap fastner to hold the carpet on/up. Not glued to anything.

Somebody sells a kick panel I remember seeing years ago.

I just realize I don't have sill plates either!. I don't need new ones, just something that'll hold my carpet down.

There was nothing there on my TR4A, but I got some fiberboard panels from a TR6 parts car that I used for the kick panels. There aren't any sill plates either. Do they make those?

As Bob said, the VB guide is excellent. My carpet came from across the pond most of my guidance was from VB.
