We met for a car run today - low clouds & drizzling.
Four cars/6 people met for breakfast.Three flaked out,& I
ended up being the only one.
Drove from Trinidad,CA,to Crescent City,CA/Brookings,-
Oregon. At breakfast,Mark mentioned seeing a Citreon DS in
the area.
I was driving in Crescent City,& saw a DS (21?),& followed it until they stopped.Turns out to be the same car.
I noticed that the car was "listing" to one side.I followed it (in the MGB GT)until it stopped on the side of the road.
The Lady driving it was unaware that she had a flat.
I changed her tire for her,& asked her if she knew a friend of
mine, who's into French cars. She said that she knew him.
Later, when I visited an old friend in Brookings,Oregon,
we were talking,& I mentioned the DS Lady.
Turn out that he'd sold her his Ford van,& that she'd
given him a ride in the DS.Just HOW weird is that?
Also saw a Porsche 356 going the other way - no acknowledgement whatsoever - go figure.Probably a friend of
Dave's.
