Looking for a Datsun 5spd trans for my Bugeye restoration project. Any leads appreciated.

Bump. Looking for a conversion kit and trans for a '60 Bugeye.
 
Bugeyeguy.com has complete 5 speed kits and Moss Motors has the same but theirs may be a Datsun 5 speed. I used the Bugeyeguy kit and it works great and was an easy installation.
 
Which Datsun five speed transfers over?

There were different types. A 60L and a 60A, one of them (60L?) being a dog leg
 
Mine has the "60" (Datsun 210) on it. I used Gerard's basic kit (though it was technically an Assgerson kit). These trannies are getting expensive now.

Yeah I purchased most of Gerard's kit. Was planning on putting it in this winter but plans changed. I'll get to it, soon and need to figure out what else I need.
 
That black bracket on mine is from Gerard.
 
Did you cut the top of the Trans or the battery tray of the car?
 
The transmission bell-housing was cut (and then covered). Easy to do and plenty of room. I didn't really modify anything on the car (though I did add the prop shaft disk that Gerard sells to move the U-joint forward just a tad). You might note the rather long/huge thread from about 5 years back (just use the search feature - I think it was called something like "5 speed, 3.9 diff or both"). I included many photos.
The challenging part was making up a new shifter (copying Gerard's) so-as to use the original boot.
