Hi Rick,
Fred is an interesting guy. Had dinner with him before they left town and he left the car in Tucson. Cant wait for him to return.
A friend that had a British car shop in town helped me with the Jamaican after he admitted he a "closet Chevy guy". It is actually a scary little ride. Drives well, but now it's hot here so it's just sitting in the hangar until fall. How is yours doing? Driving the Bug Eye too?

Am in the middle of a Toyota front caliper conversion on the Nasty Boy so took the bugeye up to Lake Winnipesaukee in NH for our annual Summit event. Great handling on the mountain roads, but I wouldn't mind some more power to get up the grades.

Thanks Chris for introducing me to the Healey Jamaican! With that 327, she’s a powerful beast! At first I was extremely intimidated, but after 10 minutes behind the wheel, I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth it drove, and compared to my bn4, the wind noise and buffeting in an enclosed Healey was minimal. I’m glad it was only 108 degrees on our drive! Here's a few pics of your awesome Jamaican. I'm hooked!

I can see sticking with the 3-liter lump if your race series requires it, but increased displacement and a lighter motor with more hp is the solution for a street car if you have ultimate performance in mind.
 
I'm thinking that Mustang he was racing has a motor familiar to you, Rick. There is a You Tube video of the racing action.
