55 Nasty Boy on eBay

I like how they notched the outriggers and frame to run the fuel line, and some wiring.

Let's see, $150,000. For 2,100 hours of professional labor at $90 per hour = $189,000. Add in $20,000 for parts and another $20,000 for a basket case 100, and you see why one should start with a completed car.

It is an interesting take on a Nasty Boy, most notable for me is the leaving of the bumpers so it really looks stock. In my mind Nasty Boys should be bumperless with dark painted wires.

I just noticed they had to cut the crucifix to fit the transmission.

Back in the day nobody wanted an auto tranny - that's what your mom had in her car. A hot rod, IMO needs 3 pedals for the right sounds and action.

I too wonder about the frame mods. They start out a bit flimsy anyway, then cut out part of the crucifix and add several hundred horse power and...…As Jeremy Clarkson would say "How hard can it be?"

The part of hot rods I like the most is the clever 'problem solving' that goes into them. In this case, except for the frame alterations (may or may not be 'clever') it seems to have been ordered from catalogues - I see nothing new, no clever new approach - LS1, bolt on suspension kits, Ford 9", yada yada.

Having said that, black is the hardest color to do and this looks really sweet. Wonder how many miles the current owner has put on it (meaning, is it fun or scary to drive)?

I have a built 200 4r aod in my nasty boy. one less pedal to place in limited space. and just press the accelerator and it takes care of the shifting automatically with almost no lag time between shifts.....nice if you are in a hurry!!!! or you can manual shift. to me much better than a manual tranny!

OH! Shucks:
