55 Mercedes on PDX Craig's List

I've owned (25 years ago) and restored a 59 220S, by far the my favorite car of the near 50 I've owned since my first 50 Austin at 12 years old. Parts are quite expensive now and hard to find. If you are going to restore/drive an early Benz, better to start with a 220S or SE. Also, look around the headlight on the Craig's car, I'll be there is a great deal of rust on that car.
The 190SL must be a scam.,

They either missed a zero, or that's a total scam on that 190.
the other one is really cool. If it weren't so dang far away......

Took me some time to figure out PDX was Portland - how'd that come about?

Sorry, giving away my employer. PDX is the air stop code for mail containers to Portland Oregon, sort of like EUG is Eugene Oregon, GEG is Spokane WA, ABQ (easy), SFO (easier), etc.

I'd be willing to tackle that one. Remember, they were built with boiler plate for sheet metal! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

the Mercedes looks like a great Tank

if you could get it running and stopping it would be a neat car
