55 LeMans

I think the consensus is that it was Hawthorn's fault but this was difficult for the British to accept at the time as he was one of their Heros.

I just read a recent good book on the subject. Its called

LeMans 55 by Christopher Hilton

I've just bought the book and have started reading it.
Don't tell me the ending please,Derek. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

PS Have you had my e mail?

Those are great, but terrifying LeMans pictures.
I have seen some of the video of the crash on our History Cable TV channel. I once got to talk to John Fitch about driving at LeMans, but he did not bring up the crash.

Let me be very clear. This kind of post, which I have deleted along with all of the mostly justified replies, is not appropriate on this forum. If your intention is not to offend anyone, then don't post things that you know, assuming you have an IQ above room temperature, WILL offend some people. This forum has members from all over the world - many from France - and all are welcome here equally. Evenyone is welcome here if they are LBC enthusiasts.

nuff said,

Please refrain from derrogatory commentary, having nothing to do with the hobby, that could be offensive to some members.
