I saw HAIRSPRAY this summer in NYC and Jerry Mathers played a minor part. He got a curtain call; not for the part, but as Beaver. I think his acting career peaked when he was 13.

I left the family at intermission and took a cab back to the hotel. The play sucked.

And I married my wife (in Albuquerque). I think the Russians launched the sputnik in honor of that event. At least that's what I told her.

Tony Dow and Jerry Mathers actually toured together about 25 years ago doing a stage production of THE ODD COUPLE. Got to see them at a dinner theater in Kansas City. Yikes...are we getting old...er..or what!

Jerry Mathers is currnetly appearing on broadway in Hairspray. He autographed my Playbill after a performance i attended in August. Not a great actor,but seems like a decent guy.
