What does a B210 shifter look like?
Does it have a kink or not?
How long is it?

Picture is worth a thousand if anyone has one handy. TIA!

I just again looked at Rays updated body and fender beating work. Man that's some talent you have for an old man.

Ray needs to get a shrinking disc!

Ahhh, Jack, you know how it is...with enough time you need far less talent...I've had the opportunity lately to share that thought several times.

As I look back over my life, whether personal issues, or issues in the workplace, or issues in the Spridget build, I see a recurring theme. The difference between a "good job" or and "acceptable job" is most often...time!

The Spridget has given me an opportunity to experience the "success is in the journey" mindset.

You'll have enough invested in tools that you'll need to do another restoration project to get your money's worth.

Ray can always put those tools in his trailer and come visit me... Tunebug will need some body work one of these days.

Hey, now there's a novel idea. The trailer provides a good dry working environment...and it has a full length awning on the side that provides a shelter...where I could live!

We'll even let you stay in our guest room, Ray.

and when you're done - Canada is especially pretty in summer - and we also have a guest room

cough - guest room here as well, not to mention I brew my own beer if you're into that sort of thing  I'd also like to mention it wouldn't be time wasted, you'd feel a sense of accomplishment working on my heap! There's plenty to do!

Got my shifter today. It's actually out of a 310, 4 speed, RHD, but it still fits.
(Thanks to Rays picture)

Anyway, I can engage the 2 gears that are to the right, I'm assuming 5th and reverse, but I can't engage the 2 to the left, or the 2 up/down from center.
I do admit, I haven't used too much force, because it's free standing, and it hurts.
Any suggestions?
The shaft turns nicely in neutral.

Just an FYI oncase anyone else has this problem.....
It was the shifter rails, apparently, if you drop the transmission from several inches, bellhousing pointing down and strike the input shaft onto a block of wood, it will sort things out.
It worked, as crazy as it sounds, and all is working perfectly!
A transmission shop in town was going to charge me $500 for that!
