...I'm losing my mind. Oh man, this is the longest its been for me in a while not getting hands on a car. Can't wait to go get dirty....

Quick, go open an oil can and take a whiff, not too big a whiff mind you, just enough to freshen your memory. Or maybe your local shop will let you muck about in an oil reclamation drum..........

Is your wife getting nasty with you about having clean fingernails?

Nah Doug, I think she actually likes that I'm "man" enough to do it. Her Dad is/was a general contractor and that I'm working on tangible things as a hobby is something she respects. (earning her respect is low bar to clear in my case - lol)

If you're ever up this way on a business trip
you're welcome to come by & get your "fix".

- Doug

Thanks Doug - I actually dig that sort of thing. I'm already ready to lend a hand, just realize the labor will be worth what you guys will be paying for it ;-)

(and BTW, I know "having" to travel on business is a fortunate thing and is not something to be taken for granted or to complain too loudly about. Sorry if that came off wrong guys)

Tom-

I'm going to pull off some more running gear on the 3A frame today, and get REALLY greasy. Ha!

No, we understand, Tom; if you can't be with the one you love (cars), love the one you're with (everything else).

Wow 5 days without wrenching...... Sounds nice to me... Course I just finished my long week (We rotate saturdays) and am looking forward to not having to fix a car tomorrow. Did I mention I'm an auto tec?
AND I fix cars for a hobby! how sick is that?!

I hope that you didn't come to my area and not tell me!! I'd have gladly bought you great pizza and the beer to go with it.

Hi Paul - we were pretty locked down the whole time. I managed to get the guys to Regina's Pizza and Modern Pastry in the North End, but no chance to run down to RI. I'll be back out here in the spring for sure, and will crave some time out to head over. But after all the help, you kidding, pizza and beer are on me!

I got back out on the TR4 today and really enjoyed taking the rear suspension apart. I used to be a mechanic, so this is therapy for me.
