Just spotted this beauty on Thursday night...

I was able to talk to the owner briefly, he just finished the restoration, and it's a 1979 International Scout II Traveller (a long-wheelbase Scout that seats seven), it's a gorgeous truck, I particularly like the yellow on black, that soft top is a custom piece he had made up...

I drove one of those, the short wheel base model, from Salt Lake City to Portland years ago. Longest drive of my life (about 17 hours, normally takes 12). Drank so much Coke to stay awake that I swore off caffeine from that day on, and that was 12 years ago.

Still a cool truck, though.

International.....International....hey, wasn't that Standard's attempt to use their vast skills in building quality, trouble-free vehicles somewhere else, over here for us Yanks?

Nice - course in Calgary, the melted snow it's parked in may be even more rare.

And one more today, heading home in traffic I spotted an International KB1 with a flatdeck on the back, I was unfortunately too busy driving to get more than just a passing glance...
