Anyone have some tips on putting the window assembly in the doors?
Am wondering if I put the top seals first; the window will pass thru ok.
Did the 4a have the side crash pads ?
Have a good day

Yes 4A had padded arm rest. ISTR Moss has two price points on them, TRF also lists. Looks to me like that went on first as it wraps around to the inside edge of door facing the window, then topped with the fuzzy window seal with chrome strip on top. I would think it best to put both that and the outside seal on first but haven't done it.

Harry, don't put the seals in first, much easier to get the window in. Get or make a half inch wide hook to hold the clips in place while pushing the seal down. You will need to weave it in behind the window at the end of the door, the wiper fuzzy inside seal works the same way. Pushing the seal into the slots provided is so much easier.

If anybody wants to learn a trick on this.....take the glass out of the track, clean the track so that it will accept windshield adhesive.Install the belt strips.then with the track in the door, apply the adhesive and drop in the glass.Let the windshield adhesive set up for a few hours .Just take care as this stuff is also known as black death and will get everywhere if you are NOT careful!!
