TR6 47 yrs 408,473 miles same TR6

Outstanding! (y) :winner1:

We Thank You Gliderman8 & Rocky-LC got my '72 as birthday present to myself 4/9/79 from original owner 3 days before my 30th 4/12 I'll be 77, told owner my 1st Only Last will keep it mechanically maintained, clean & Driven

Hamish Racing got the keys from original owner it had 86K+ miles on it when I lived in Seattle for 20 yrs, caught in rains, relocated to s.w. desert of sunny/dry SoCal so I can drive when, where & as often as I like

Happy birthday from another 1949 model! (I turn 77 in June.)

Somehow I just can't get up the nerve to take longer trips in my TR4A, as you have in your TR6. Maybe someday...!

Today 4/9/26 we celebrated our 47th anniversary 2Gether with 4 hr drive in 84 degree sunny weather to get to 408,473 miles through Beaumont, Redlands, MoVal of the S.W. desert of SoCal, USA:cool:
That's about 10,000 Miles per year.
For the last 10 years I drive about 1,000/yr.
Then again, I no longer have a car that's fun to drive.
Also with so many idiot drivers on the road driving is less/no fun.

Back in the 80s/90s easily averaged 10-12K per year since 2K avg 4-5K driving every other week (we like to drive more than most) unless on a SoCal to Washington or Canada trip then it's close to 6K agree with the other drivers but what are the choices, not drive won't work for us, why we relocated from Seattle not enough dry driving days while we still can drive:cool:

Back in the 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s I was averaging 100K/year.
Drove many a car into the ground and enjoyed every minute.
Traveled just for the fun of the journey.
Did coast to coast every decade just to see what was on the other side.

But no longer.
First finances, then health, then fear of traveling more than a few miles from home.
I can still appreciate fine motor cars, that will never die.
