Do you drive your midget to school daily?

Well said, Terri. I believe strongly in the work of public education, else I wouldn't be working there--like many others, I took a pretty hefty pay cut to go work for the school. Wouldn't trade it, though. It's important work, and government administrations come and go.

And Kudos to both of you and so many more out there like you!!

The other Science teacher I taught with years ago who had been around for A LONG time had a saying that she would use every time I got all stressed about some new law, program, teaching method or whatever...."this too shall pass" Words I have finally learned to live by.

If it ran I would...my kids are on pins and needles to see it! Every class begins with the question, "What did you do on your car last night?" They have learned almost as much as me about motors, how they work, why they run (or don't) Team Sprite was a real joy to share daily with them! (OK, we logged on the day of the auction and waited with the rest of the forum)
I'm glad I teach 8th grade they aren't quite big enough to move it around. (In High School our band director drove a Midget and the football palyers used to move it to the courtyard or turn it sideways in the parking spaces)

My apologies to those of you reading...I got way off topic and basically hijacked this thread.....back to the topic. WHy are there so many viewing? Jonquils are blooming, Tulip trees are blooming, redbuds are peeking and this means one thing...I HAVE TO HAVE A CONVERTABLE RUNNING SOON!! Can't you just hear the engines humming as they tune up for spring?

I'll add my apologies as well, it was partly my fault. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif

I was watching Trevor's video tonight, and really got to thinking about the coming driving/riding season. I'm ready!

We've had a few 50f days now. Of course, it also snowed again today. Good thing, since Tunebug is still in pieces! I need another month, but I'm ready for the warmth right now!

Taaa, Taaaa. Spring is hear

The Birds have riz
Wonder where the flowers is.
Little birds upon the wing
My word how abserb I thought the
Wings were on the birds.

Sorry could not help my self.

Talked to my son in Denver this morning and he said it is getting positivly balmy there. They expect temps in the 60s today!!!

My intention was to work on my EFI project and get it in ASAP before the weather warmed up....riiiight. Anyway, I think I found why the car was running so badly, due to a missing advance spring in the dizzy. So, I'm working on remedying that. I've got the whole intake on mine off the car right now for analysis/measurements. I think I'll make all the measurements I need and get that puppy back on there so I can just slap in the corrected dizzy, time it, change the oil, and hopefully be off for the driving season. This is her last year of looking shabby, the plan is to begin tearing her down at the end of the warm season in '07, work on the engine and interior all winter, and hopefully get onto the body/wiring/reassembly early spring '08.

Looking forward to the warm weather, and a car that'll run correctly! I hope the dizzy was the major issue I was having. Makes sense I could never get it to run right at 10* of timing with a loose weight!

Just came back from a nice ride, Miss Agatha is so pleased to hit the road for a bit every day. Up to 17 miles now.

Great Jack, rub it in....not only do you have that hot car, you actually get to drive it now and not have your eyeballs freeze open. Thanks, salt in an open wound! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Nah, you deserve it after all that work, congrats!

glad to hear miss agatha's collecting some new mileage. it must be great!

And everything works but for the fuel gauge. But that too shall pass.

Ah Spring, Bugsy just came out of the garage to run errands and came out topless. Oh my!!! Fabulous in Dayton this PM, just got up to Sunny and 62. Bugsy was out singing at full wail in second gear and [censored] does that Cherry Bomb muffler ever sound good. Even a guy in a Rice Rocket pulled up next to me and commented on how good he sounded. I love this car!!!!!

Man I can't get any work done. Too much fun tooling around. Up to 22 miles, giveing rides to all the folks around. Even had a BMW roadster that wanted to play.

Focus, Jack, you've got to get her all the way finished! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

yea Drew, but no real projects at the moment, just messing with carb mixtures and junk mostly.

Am out of stuff and really need nothing but a fuel guage. grill, rear bumperets, and seat kits. Oh I tweek this and that but nothing major at all.

Wish the brake pedal was higher though. No pumping, it just seems low to me. May an adjustment all around would be in order, maybe they have set in a bit.

Jack, you may be able to adjust brake pedal height by lengthening the push-rod a bit and backing in the pedal-stop bolt! This would alsoJust remember to keep that 1/32" free play at the piston! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
