403 Forbidden error message on Forum.

This has been happening a lot lateley- if I try to go to the second page of, say, The Pub, I get a 403 Forbidden error, telling me I don't have permission to access that page. I'm reasonably sure I did nothing wrong.

I get the same message sometimes when I first try to get onto the forum. It never happens once I'm on though. I thought it had something to do with aol, even though I don't have the problem with any other site.

Tyr the back door approach by clicking on the poster's name on the right side of the screen of the topics page. Works for me.

Are you using your "back" button or clicking on "index"?

Never a prob anymore with the forum no matter what I do.

Not sure what could be happening, but will look into it when I get a chance.

Tony and Rick seem to have misunderstood me a bit. Say I'm looking at the first page of topics in The Pub, and I want to see the second page. I usually click the little number down the bottom of the page, but lately when I do that I get the Forbidden Warning. Same thing happens when I try to access other areas, say the Bikes section. It's pretty random too.

Oops, sorry.....

William, I notice that your IP address is not static, meaning it changes as you move from page to page. What "may" be happening is that I have a certain range of IPs blocked (usually to block known hackers or spammers) and sometimes your IP changes such that it falls within a bblocked range. It may take me a while, but I'll see if I can zero in on which IP range may be at fault and unblock those. May take a dady or tow for me to get to it however.

May be because I use two different computers, one of which is on a DSL and one of which is on a dialup. I was more worried that all of a sudden I was being blackballed from certain areas of the Forum, for reasons I don't know.

Nah, Basil wouldn't do that to any of us.
