I rock climb a little. I would never, and probably never could, do this. Amazing. Gotta say I'd never climb without safety gear.

Very impressive. But no matter how good he is, the chances of NOT making a mistake, falling and dying at some point in his life are very, very slim.

There were a couple of pretty daring moves there!! One slip and SPLAT!!! I'm glad there are individuals out there pushing those envelopes! Paraphrasing Voltaire...When life gets boring, risk it! :eeek:

Life's never THAT boring for THIS wimp!

Yep, dead man climbing & he doesn't even know it! When he kills himself, I'll not mourn & neither should his friends or family!

One of the members at church is a climber - teaches it to the Boy Scouts, and has all the equipment. Even goes by the nickname of "Rock-jock". He's been after me to let him take me on one of his excursions.

Not in the cards!

Stick to scaling the Rock of Ages, Mickey!! Safer and more uplifting!!

It'd take a mountain lion or a bear to motivate me onto a rock face. And I'd likely try air swimming before I'd attempt the rocks. w00f.

That already happened. He passed away at 35 doing a freefall jump. The rope that was attached to him failed to stop his descent. Similar to bungee jumping, but less stretch in the line holding you.

OOOps! Funny how posts fall into place, eh, Stuart! :jester: (I'm sure Mickey didn't think it the way it came out!)

Ironic that when it did happen he had a rope attached but it didn't help!! :eeek:

Has he been nominated for a Darwin Award? If not, he should be.
