If anyone is interested the 4 headlight Healey done as a styling exercise in 1960 is on BAT this morning. Current owner is asking $225,000 for it. Always thought that thing was ugly and at $225,000 real ugly !!!!
Regards,
Mike

I saw Goldie a couple of years ago - kinda liked it, in a weird sort of way.

From what I have been able to understand from the documentation, this car was in no way produced by the DHMC. They did experiment with twin head lights but Geoff Healey says the body parts in question were removed from the car, the chassis of which was then used for other purposes. he also said it didn't have flared wheel arches.

The only connection this car could have with the DHMC is that it uses the double headlamp wings and shroud from the DHMC version as these parts were sold off. Presumably they were installed an a 'normal' Healey which was then further modified, including the rack and pinion steering and the 4 inch wider track, none of which had anything to do with the DHMC.

How much is it worth? Who knows, as a good condition, modified Healey, maybe 60,000 ....but 225,0000...don't think so.

I like the Ala Kart version better:

Is it just me or does it look like it's father was a Healey and it's mother was a Checker Cab?? Didn't this sell on Ebay a few years ago? 4 or 5 years?

Good read on its geneology...maybe it would look more appealing in bright yellow? and with a meter mounted to the dash it would offer the new owner an opportunity to earn some money to pay off the car loan.

Get a copy of Bill Emerson's dvd "Historic Healeys - Speed and Beauty", he reviewed this car. Interesting comments for anyone interested in Healey trivia.
