4.0 V-8 for XJ8, XK8 and S-Type Differences?

The block and the intermediate "girdle" appear to be the same with the timing chain cover and the oil pan assembly being the obvious differences between the three versions.

Obviously there are changes between the supercharged and normally aspirated version.

What about the oil pump? There appear to be two different types of oil pump. Are they interchangeable?

Check a parts list with one of the vendors, if part# is same for the models or interchangeable. Might be different to oil pan configurations.
