3rd brake light or LED's

I put halogen bulbs in the tail/brake lights and LEDs in the reflectors. The LEDs light up with the brakes or turn signals.

Please, no need to debate it's not high enough. It can be seen 2 cars back. If you're closer than that, you're tailgating and you will miss seein em.:highly_amused:

No no keoke, tailgaters don't care about 3rd break lights... brake lights at all. It's about us being in their way.

You know you gotta good point.:encouragement:

So move over into the slow lane and go fast as the:devilgrin:

When I wanted to install halogen lights in the reflectors, I purchased new reflectors and chrome rings since the original chrome rings were pitted. I found the new reflectors had the silver reflector material painted on the back side of the plastic and I couldn't find a way to remove the paint. So I wound up using the original lenses with the new chrome rings. On the original lenses, the reflective material was a piece of silver paper glued to the back of the lens and was easy to peel off so the light would come through. Anyone else find a way to remove the silver backing on the new lenses?

There was no silver on the back of mine. It is just the way the plastic is shaped.
