38 years ago today

38 years ago today we were still three months from the Oct73 mideast oil crisis, still blithely putting gasoline at 24.9 cents a gallon in our cars, could NOT put five bucks in even empty, passed by station that were 33.9 cents as "too expensive", and I was thinking we were due for shipyard overhaul and I wouldn't have to go out on patrol again.

I was 8 months old...

I remember seeing "Enter the Dragon" at the Base Theater when I was a young Airman stationed in Montana. Wow was he fast!

There were times I went out with ground forces, dropped into places yet unmentionable... Never had the honor of joining you squids. Funny that now a LOT of the guys I consider pals are former water fowl. Go figger.

I really both love and hate this innerweb thingie. I think we'd all have a helluva time gatherin' together!
