Last weekend, my wife and I attended the 30[SUP]th[/SUP] annual South Alabama British Car Club in Fairhope, across the bay from Mobile. It’s a trip we had intended to make for about 5 years. It was our longest trip in the TR3 at 534 miles roundtrip. Attendance was down about 30%, but there were still approx. 70 cars, the largest numbers being Jaguars and MGs. There were cars from Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. A 1936 AC Doctor’s Coupe won best of show. I voted for the silver 1954 XK-120. We got a 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] in class (3 cars) and the long-distance award.
