3000 ashtray needed

Hi All,

I'm steadily wrapping up the final little details on my MKII 3000. I need an ashtray, but wonder about the quality of the ones available from the normal suppliers. Does those look OK? Or does anyone have a decent used original they'd sell me?

Thanks, Jeff

Hey Jeff,
Got mine from AH Spares and quality if very nice. Think Moss sells same unit with their catalog number on the AH Spares box. Same ash tray for all models as far as I know.
Regards,
Mike

Hi Jeff, if you're still in need of one I do have one but it needs to be re-chromed. I was told you have to dis-assemble to have it chromed, plus the price was more than a new one.

You can have it for the price of postage.

I have one from a 1961 3000 MkI. Don't know if it is the same. Will dig it out and check the condition. I haven't see nit in a while but think it is in pretty good condition. Will let you know.

The ashtray used in the Healeys is also used in the rear doors of the jaguar mark II. They are readily available and are usually in much better condition due to not be exposed to the elements.

regards,
greg
