3 Healeys

At this morning's Caffeine & Carburetor meet in New Canaan, CT, there were 3 gorgeous Healeys, one - black and red - was an alleged 100M according to the announcer. I didn't have my camera so no pix. How come there are so many more 100Ms than were ever made?

It's also just possible that we in New England and the Tri-State area got more than our share of the cool Healeys. This was a real hot bed of racing activity in the 50s with Lime Rock Park, the Glen and several national SCCA races being held on airport circuits. Stands to reason that this area, like SoCal and SFR would get a higher proportion of the racing variants like 100Ms and 100S cars.

That's probably because, as Australian AH historian Patrick Quinn says, there are only 1,275 100Ms left from the original 640 built!
