3.55:1 rear end

Does anyone know where I can get a 3.55:1 pinion/gear set?

My car currently turns just below 4000RPM with my (I believe) 3.71 rearend. Can someone help me with the math on figuring what my revs at 70mph would be with the 3.51 rear end?

Morris,
Good luck with the autogear bunch. I couldn't get them to answer any emails regarding the crown and pinion on a 3.55. If you have any luck, sell me your 3.7 crown wheel and pinion. I'm running a 4.22 but just purchased a spare with a 3.9 in it on eBay. I haven't been on in a while. I'm glad to see you didn't ditch your Midget way back a few months ago.

Thanks JC.

I will keep you in mind if I end up finding a 3.55 setup.

I have only heard of the 3.55 on the bcf. I am guessing it is an aftermarket item.

I can't get anything to come up with the link to autogear, must have changed their address. Like the rear axle for the MGB and MGA, the Spridget axle was shared in other forms and ratios with other BMC cars so there are some ratios available for that axle that were not production MG ratios. The 3.55:1 is probably one of those.

It may come at a cost, that it cruises good down the interstate, but it's a dog in the lower gears around town and on the curvey roads.
