Where can I find the parts?
All Pro/Cons views on making the change would be welcomed.

Mike Lempert at Lempert Wheels had some made. I have a set but have yet to get them installed. Do not knbow if he hasany left.

This will make highway driving much more enjoyable. I believe that a 28% overdrive will accomplish much the same result.

A couple of days ago, I talked to John at Quantumechanics about setting up my differential.

I had bought the 3.54:1 ring & pinion several years ago when Mike Lempert was doing a batch of them. I don't know how often he does that, but I wanted a set and figured I'd better not put it off.

I seem to recall seeing a big stack of those Lempert gears in Smitty's shop. Maybe whoever bought Smitty's business has 'em now. Can't remember who that was, but a search for "Smitty" with Keoke's name in the user field should net the answer.

Pete Delaney bought Smitty's business--he is in the Charlotte NC area.

Pete's email address: Healey5Speed@aol.com. I installed my Lempert made 3:54 gears in my '65 MK III
street car a few years back when they were made. Everything worked fine, great upgrade for long hwy cruising. I highly recommend making the change.
