This is my new baby I call it "Bug" My belief is it is a 1952 A40 Somerset, however the guy that sold it to me swears it to be a '48 A40? IMG_4938.jpg This is my second British car, the first being a 1960 Envoy that was given to me in 2000 with 8,000 Miles on the odometer. It was unfortunately in very poor condition after being left for 10 years in a field near a highway. Enough about the cars so let me tell you a bit about me; I'm a mechanic by trade, love old cars and computers, if I'm not working on one I'm busy with the other.

Hey - welcome to BCF! If you're interested in old cars and computers, you'll fit right in here. I can't tell from the photo - is that right hand or left hand drive?

And how'd you get interested in old cars - and computers?

Tom
Edit: I don't think the A40 Somerset was made until 1952. 1948? maybe an A40 Devon? But it sure looks like a Somerset!

I was born a farm boy so cars & trucks were bred into me .. back then you fixed things yourself instead of waiting for a mechanic to show up, As for computers I took them up after my second wife passed away and got hooked ( I fix them for friends and sometimes for profit LOL) The Somerset is left hand drive unfortunately.
