Sparky is still in the plastic garage in the back yard. I am unlucky in that I have no real garage. The plastic one is surrounded by 4 feet of snow. I dug though to the door way and pushed aside the snow and crawled in. There he sat after a long sleep. I had placed a solar trickle charger in the dash, wired straight to the battery. I opened the door, and sat inside. Putting the key in the ignition, I turned it gently and listened for the tell tail sound of the fuel pump,, tic...tic...tic......then faster ticing. I waited 10 15 20 seconds then thirty. I reached up and firmly grasping the choke handle I pulled. It freely slide away from the dash. I had to hold it there as there is no lock on the cable. Now my other hand moved toward the key, my breath now slowing till I held it. Then with a quick twist I turned it. RRR...RRR...RRR VRIOOOMMM!!!!! And that is how an MG MIDGET should start. Perfectly. I turned it off after a few seconds (no windows in the plastic garage) I found my way back in the house and am now celebrating with beer and the dream that soon very soon, Ottawa will be release from this DAMNED LONG WINTER and I will be terrorizing the neighbourhood once again. A dream for now.....

Good deal, fun read. You know you could always put a flex hose on the exhaust and run it outside like a dryer. Then you could run her up to temp.
